Description
This beginner-friendly class will use the free pattern, “An Italian Summer Scarf,” by An Italian Knitter. Skills learned will be basic pattern reading, yarn overs, k2tog, k3tog, and creating an i cord edge using slipped stitches.
Skills Learned: Basic pattern reading, basic lace, i-cord edge
Skills Needed: cast on (any method), knit, purl, bind off (any method)
Bring with you: tapestry needle; 100 gm of DK or worsted weight yarn – beginners should not bring textured yarn; size 6, 7 or 8 needles (or size appropriate to yarn)
Homework: No homework, but you may do a garter stitch swatch to see if you like the fabric you get with your needles and yarn. You want fabric to drape nicely, like you would want a scarf to be.
