Bring with you: 2 high-contrast worsted weight yarns and US 6 16-inch circular needle. Malabrigo Rios or Berroco Ultra Wool are excellent choices, and I have asked Lofty Fibers to have lots on hand in the vendor marketplace. Berroco Ultra Alpaca and Bare Naked Wools Confection are also good choices. I have also asked Lofty Fibers to stock lots of US 6 16-inch needles in case you forget yours.

Homework: Look through Ravelry projects for “basic brioche cowl” and decide whether you want the light or the dark color as background. It’s just a different look, and it is entirely an aesthetic choice. With the background color, cast on 104 stitches. Place marker and join to work in the round. Knit one row.
